Antonio Capone.

Engineer by training, philosopher by nature, artist by instinct — building systems that think, teams that grow, and stories worth telling.

01 / Philosophy

A continuous inner tension between precision and creativity —
between systems thinking and storytelling.

Long version

I design and run the platforms behind complex e-commerce operations — integration layers, data infrastructure, backoffice automation — but what actually drives me is the shape of the problem, not the stack underneath it.

I studied engineering because I love how things fit together, I kept studying philosophy because I wanted to understand why we build them, and I never stopped making things — photographs, screenplays, drawings, songs — because thinking without making feels incomplete.

The work I do best sits at that intersection: architecture that serves a narrative, teams that behave like ensembles, cost models read like scripts, and every technical decision traced back to a human reason.

01
Systems are stories
Every integration, process or platform is a narrative someone will have to read. I design for the reader, not only the runtime.
02
Elegance is a governance tool
Simple, legible architectures cost less, survive longer, and stay honest under pressure. Aesthetic and engineering are the same discipline.
03
People are the hard part
Technology rarely fails alone. Teams do. I spend most of my energy on the human API: expectations, context, rhythm.
04
Make, then theorise
Prototypes over decks, sketches over specs. I trust what emerges from doing more than what sounds plausible in a meeting.
02 / Experience

Seven years.
One compounding thread.

03 / Projects

Systems I've shaped.

Four pieces of work I'm most proud of — picked because each of them changed how the organisation thinks, not only what it runs.

Case 01 / Platform

Unified Integration Layer

API-Led Connectivity with MuleSoft — from zero to backbone

Designed, built and scaled the company's integration layer applying API-Led Connectivity principles. Turned a tangle of point-to-point flows into a governed, reusable fabric that now powers unified commerce across every channel.

Case 02 / Data

Business Intelligence Infrastructure

Google BigQuery — a single source of truth for commerce

Built and evolved the company's BI infrastructure on BigQuery, unifying fragmented data sources into a single analytical layer. Enabled leadership to read the business across channels instead of stitching spreadsheets.

Case 03 / Operations

Backoffice & Logistics Automation

AI + integrations for a 12-people operations engine

Rewired the day-to-day of a 7-person Backoffice and 5-person Tech Squad through integrations and targeted AI. Less toil, more judgement; less firefighting, more roadmap.

Case 04 / Governance

Multi-Cloud Cost Optimization

Azure + GCP — reading cloud bills like a P&L

Led cost optimization across Azure and GCP environments: visibility, rightsizing, commitment strategy and governance rituals. Turned an opaque monthly surprise into a lever the leadership can actually pull.

04 / Craft

The other half.

What I do when I'm not wiring systems together. Photographs, scripts, songs, sketches — most of it imperfect on purpose.

// 01
Theatre, Cinema & Screenwriting
Acting and storytelling as practice. I write short scripts and shoot video sketches whenever an idea refuses to be ignored.
